In 1996, BMO became the title sponsor of the Canadian Figure Skating Championships, and a sponsor of Canada’s National Skating Team.
This partnership grew to include the BMO Skate Canada Junior Nationals, BMO Skate Canada Challenge Events, BMO Skate Canada Sectionals, and BMO Skate Canada Synchronized Championships.
BMO also sponsored CanSkate, the learn-to-skate program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development.
